Working From Home is Awesome! Working From Home is Awesome!

I wish an instant productivity tonic existed I wish an instant productivity tonic existed

Our entire lives we have tried to squeeze all the productivity out of us and use it in every way possible. All we want is to get stuff done on time and in the most efficient manner, is that really too much to ask?

Say no more child! Your wish has been granted and your fairy godmother is here to give you some tips on how to make yourself much more useful. Make your very own tonic!

How to crack the productivity code

Although it seems like a huge goal to achieve, trust me it is not. Once you start working on the small things you need to change about yourself and get your act in order, you are good to go. To achieve this what you need to do is, first of all, find what you’re doing wrong. A lot of us have really bad sleeping and eating habits due to which we are much less active than others throughout the day. Dehydration is also one of the possible causes. We need to change that. Having enough sleep and proper meals can do wonders. If we combine this with some exercises, we will be so much more energetic! And more energy means more productivity.

Other than this, work ethic is important. You need to get done with things on time and not leave them for later. Procrastination is the devil! Set small achievable goals for yourself. This way you stay motivated and finish everything in time, and because you’re not doing things in a rush, whatever ever you produce is better as you had given more thought to it.

Timetables and routines

Working in a proper flow is not overrated. This makes you more organized with a clear idea of what is done and what needs to be done. if you pile your work up, there is a possible chance that you will forget something and we don’t want that now do we? Another thing we should avoid when we can is multitasking. If you multitask, none of the work you are doing will be good enough. Many of us are perfectionists and want our work to be prim and proper. To achieve that you need to complete one task at a time with your full attention.

Fight your laziness

Sometimes it seems like being lazy is not our fault. It is within us and we have no control over it. This is completely false. Laziness is something that can be fixed. It is a bad habit that you can easily get rid of. It is true that some people may take more time than others to fix this but it is not impossible at all. It starts with acknowledging. You acknowledge the fact that you are lazy and make a commitment to yourself to overcome this. Then, you push yourself to work harder and avoid procrastination. The sooner you start the sooner you will get rid of one of the seven deadly sins. As you keep working towards yourself you will actually start noticing that you like being busy and keeping yourself occupied, it is actually healthy and good for you!

Cut yourself some slack!

It is not necessary to give your best every single day. You could be lazy some days and spare some time for yourself without feeling guilty because after all that hard work you deserve it!

Just make sure you don’t reward yourself with a never-ending weekend…
